Softball Recap: Northern Nash Takes a Loss

Northern Nash was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-8 to the Franklinton Red Rams. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Rams earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Kailey Burden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Emma Hunt, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Northern Nash's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Franklinton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northern Nash is set to take on their familiar foe Nash Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Franklinton will challenge rival Rocky Mount at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
