Basketball Recap: Rimrock Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

While Rimrock didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the Jordan Valley Mustangs with a 59-53 victory on Saturday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 75th in Idaho, while the Mustangs are ranked 229th in Oregon), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rimrock's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Jordan Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rimrock will challenge Riverstone International at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverstone International will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Rimrock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jordan Valley, they will face off against Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
