Preview: Presidio Blue Devils vs. Compass Academy
After two games on the road, Presidio is heading back home. They will take on Compass Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
While Presidio couldn't quite beat Alpine on Tuesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 22-point defeat they were dealt last Friday. Presidio fell just short of Alpine by a score of 40-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Presidio in their matchups with Alpine: they've now lost eight in a row.
Compass Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 56-33 defeat at the hands of Alpine. Compass Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Presidio bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Compass Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Presidio didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Compass Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 32-26 victory. Does Presidio have another victory up their sleeve, or will Compass Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
