Basketball Recap: Peotone Takes a Loss

Peotone lost against Manteno back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils were dealt a 57-23 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-15.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Mallory Schroeder and Payton Pape, who each put up five points. Addison Brandau held things down on the boards with three rebounds. Peyton Bisping took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Peotone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Manteno, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Peotone will square off against rival Reed-Custer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Manteno is set to face off against their familiar foe Streator at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
