Volleyball Recap: Wekiva Victorious

The Wekiva Mustangs earned a 3-1 win over the Liberty Chargers on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

While Wekiva might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Liberty scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Liberty saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daniel Duque had 23 digs and three aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Duque.

Wekiva's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Wekiva has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Dr. Phillips on the 3rd. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Innovation on the 3rd.
