Baseball Recap: Potterville Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Potterville had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Webberville Spartans 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Spartans back in April, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Kipton Hall spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit. Potterville is undefeated when Hall allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-22 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Langfeldt, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

Potterville's win bumped their record up to 6-22. As for Webberville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Potterville nor Webberville have any future games scheduled.
