Basketball Game Preview: Vincent Memorial Scots vs. Imperial Tigers

Vincent Memorial hasn't had much luck against Imperial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vincent Memorial Scots will face off against the Imperial Tigers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Vincent Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Last Wednesday, Vincent Memorial earned a 56-44 victory over Calexico.

JoseCarlos Acosta continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. The matchup was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Villavicencio, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Imperial came up short against Calipatria on Tuesday and fell 52-42. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vincent Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Imperial, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
