Ravenscroft and St. Mary are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Ravens are taking a road trip to challenge the Saints at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenscroft will be strutting in after a victory while St. Mary's will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Ravenscroft earned a 3-1 win over Cary Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ravens.

Ravenscroft had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's lost 3-0 to Durham Academy on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost five in a row.

While St. Mary's had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-21.

Ravenscroft's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Ravenscroft took their win against St. Mary's in their previous matchup on September 9th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
