Preview: Cabot Panthers vs. North Little Rock Charging Wildcats
Cabot has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Cabot's 16-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 61-47 bruising from Central two weeks ago. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cabot has scored all season.
Meanwhile, North Little Rock faced Bryant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. North Little Rock took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bryant on Tuesday. North Little Rock's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Cabot's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for North Little Rock, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Cabot won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, slipping by North Little Rock 56-55. Does Cabot have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Little Rock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
