Baseball Recap: Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maeser Prep Academy, Utah Military Academy - Hill Field was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Draper APA Eagles 8-7. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 21-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryan Wankier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Utah Military Academy - Hill Field is 7-2 when Wankier posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Chris Davis also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5. As for Draper APA, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
