Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Bulldogs vs. Northside Grizzlies

Springdale has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Northside has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Springdale Bulldogs will welcome the Northside Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Springdale picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 61-47 win over Bellaire. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Arkansas, while the Cardinals are ranked 67th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

While Northside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Parkview on Saturday.

Springdale's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Northside, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Springdale strolled past Northside in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 64-46. Does Springdale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
