Softball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Wins Going Away Against Salisbury Christian

Holly Grove Christian won the last time they faced Salisbury Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. Holly Grove Christian was the clear victor by a 33-1 margin over Salisbury Christian. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Ella Powell was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Powell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Cassidy Hickman was incredible, scoring six runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Araya Harrison was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with six runs, four RBI, and one double.

Holly Grove Christian now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Holly Grove Christian and Salisbury Christian will both be playing Chincoteague the next time they take the field. Holly Grove Christian will host Chincoteague at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Salisbury Christian will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on April 7.
