Laingsburg waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Ithaca Yellowjackets.

Laingsburg was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 23-25, 26-24, 24-26, 25-19, 20-18.

Harper Strouse paced Laingsburg's offense, picking up 15 kills. Strouse got some help from Kendall Michels and her 21 assists. Michels also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Mohney, racking up five apiece.

Laingsburg's win bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Ithaca, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Laingsburg and Ithaca could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Wolfpack will take on Fowler at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (233 vs. 81). Meanwhile, Ithaca (ranked 394th) will meet Carrollton (ranked 80th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
