Rosemount hadn't done well against Shakopee recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Irish were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sabers. That's more bragging rights for the Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rosemount took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.

Sophie Williams paced Rosemount's offense, picking up 16 kills. Williams got some help from Payten Diekmann and her 28 assists. Kaylin Seifert controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

Rosemount's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Shakopee, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Rosemount has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Belle Plaine on the 3rd. As for Shakopee, after both having extra time off, they and Farmington will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
