Baseball Game Preview: Westminster Lions vs. Troy Warriors

The Westminster Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Troy Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westminster is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Estancia hit Westminster with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Troy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Sunny Hills by a score of 8-7. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Westminster couldn't quite get it done against Troy when the teams last played back in March of 2015 as they fell 9-5. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
