Recap: SWCHA S Saints vs. St. Francis Mariners
The SWCHA S Saints kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a serious blow against St. Francis, falling 86-54. SWCHA S has struggled against St. Francis recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
St. Francis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Green, who scored 12 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Cameron Nerby, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
SWCHA S's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for St. Francis, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
SWCHA S will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on January 20, 2024. As for St. Francis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Country Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
