Volleyball Recap: McGavock Takes a Loss

McGavock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Community Colts.

Despite the loss, McGavock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lacey Jordan had nine digs and one assist.

McGavock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Christian Community, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

McGavock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Innovation Academy on the 23rd. As for Christian Community, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin Classical School at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
