Softball Recap: Ragland Purple Devils vs. Ohatchee Indians

Ragland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ohatchee Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-1 loss back in March.

Alyssa Broome made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

Ragland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Ohatchee, they pushed their record up to 21-9 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Looking ahead, Ragland will head out on the road to square off against Winterboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21.2 runs per game on average), something the Purple Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ohatchee, they will be playing at home against Cherokee County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
