Volleyball Recap: Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine Takes a Loss

Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine was the 3-1 winner over Belt when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine fell 3-1 to Belt on Monday.

While Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20.

Belt can attribute much of their success to Maren Keaster, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Keaster has posted over her last seven matchups. Hope Maki also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Belt, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belt, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Manhattan Christian on the 16th.
