Football Game Preview: Milton Wildcats vs. Braintree Wamps

The Milton Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Braintree Wamps at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Milton heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Saturday. They lost to North Attleborough at home by a 43-29 margin. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Milton got top-tier performance from Patrick Collins, who threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground.

Meanwhile, Braintree came up short against Silver Lake Regional on November 7th and fell 33-20.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Braintree, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Milton against Braintree in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 31-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
