Volleyball Recap: Khloe Yasin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead John Hardin over Central

John Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

John Hardin took Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 12-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25, 15-3.

John Hardin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Khloe Yasin, who had eight digs and two aces.

John Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-16-1.

Looking ahead, John Hardin will face off against Central Hardin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Presentation on the 20th.
