Recap: Owendale-Gagetown Bulldogs vs. Mayville Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Owendale-Gagetown Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 11th contest. They were dealt a 68-18 loss at the hands of Mayville on Friday. Owendale-Gagetown has struggled against Mayville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Mayville was led to victory by Jace Brown and Jackson Buhl. Brown scored 11 points, while Buhl scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Halsne, who scored six points.
Owendale-Gagetown's defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Mayville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Owendale-Gagetown will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Huron at 7:30 p.m. As for Mayville, they will head out on the road to challenge Deckerville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
