Basketball Recap: Howardsville Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Howardsville Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 62-54 to the Decatur Raiders on Monday.

Despite the loss, Howardsville Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caden Grant posted 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Kavin Sparks was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Adam Featherstone went supernova For Decatur., posting 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Cropsey, who earned 18 points and six boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Howardsville Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Watervliet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Decatur, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Gobles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
