Football Game Preview: Tabernacle Torches vs. Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors + How To Watch

The Tabernacle Torches will head out to challenge the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tabernacle will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Tabernacle is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-16 win over North River Christian. The Torches pushed the score to 30-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers had little chance of recovering from.

Landn Ervin was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Christian faced Cornerstone Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The defeat leaves the Warriors still looking for their first win of the season.

Tuscaloosa Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tabernacle, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Tabernacle took a serious blow against Tuscaloosa Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 46-8. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Torches were down 46-0.
