Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peoples Academy). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Lake Region Rangers on Monday. Given Peoples Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Vermont soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Lake Region are ranked 52nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Peoples Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Lake Region, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Peoples Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Spaulding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lake Region will challenge rival U-32 at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
