Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mountain Pointe on Monday, Central came back down to earth. The Bobcats lost 3-0 to the Maricopa Rams on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.

Maricopa was led to victory by Myles Batson and Markel Alonzo. Batson had 11 digs, while Alonzo had 37 digs. That's the most digs Batson has posted over his last nine matches.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Maricopa, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against North on the 17th. As for Maricopa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Notre Dame Prep on the 22nd.
