Softball Recap: Enochs Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Enochs entered their tilt with Modesto on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaylee Ruiz tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camila Ramirez Quintana, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Soraya Mendoza was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Enochs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in 11 consecutive matchups.

Enochs' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Modesto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
