Soccer Game Preview: Manning vs. East Clarendon

Manning is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing at home against the East Clarendon Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Manning is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Timberland on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Wolves.

Meanwhile, East Clarendon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake City. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolverines couldn't quite close it out.

Manning has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. East Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Manning came up short against East Clarendon in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Manning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
