Volleyball Recap: Clay Extends Home Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

Clay hadn't done well against St. Ursula Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Arrows with a sharp 3-0 win. The Eagles were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Arrows, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Clay not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Ursula Academy between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-18.

Eme Goetz paced Clay's offense, picking up 14 kills. Goetz got some help from Hayden Rodriguez and her 22 assists. Goetz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Despite the loss, St. Ursula Academy still got an impressive performance from Ellie Panczyszyn, who had 21 assists and five digs. Panczyszyn is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Sidney Pollex also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
