Basketball Recap: Valley Piles Up the Points Against Paducah

Valley lost to Paducah back in January of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Valley Patriots blew past the Paducah Dragons, posting a 77-4 victory. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 20 points or more this season.

Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Savannah Carrera out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Carrera a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Trinity Schlueter, who went 8 of 15 en route to 16 points along with eight steals and five assists.

Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Paducah, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-27 victory against Patton Springs on the 7th. Paducah has also already played their next game, a 64-20 defeat against Spur on the 7th.
