Basketball Recap: Camdenton Takes a Loss

Camdenton lost against Rolla back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Camdenton Lakers fell 57-49 to the Rolla Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

Rolla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylee Dodson led the charge by going 10 for 17 on her way to 25 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Watkins, who went 7 of 17 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Camdenton dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Rolla, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

Camdenton is taking a road trip to take on Battle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rolla, they will face off against Cuba/Viburnum at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
