Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Fountain Valley

Fountain Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Los Alamitos, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Barons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Griffins on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Barons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Fountain Valley didn't let Los Alamitos take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Fountain Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8. As for Los Alamitos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.

Fountain Valley will be playing at home against Corona del Mar at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Los Alamitos, they will square off against Marina at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Griffins are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
