Softball Preview: Graham Local Falcons vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils
The Graham Local Falcons are on the road again on Thursday to play the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Graham Local will be strutting in after a victory while Tippecanoe will be coming in after a defeat.
On Wednesday, Graham Local needed a bit of extra time to put away Northwestern. They had just enough and edged the Warriors out 2-1.
Marissa Pine was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Pine has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Pine was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a stolen base.
