Softball Recap: Hamilton Marines vs. Garrett Railroaders
Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the Garrett Railroaders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hamilton of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2017.
For Garrett's part, Ashlee Vanderbosch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. Vanderbosch has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Vanderbosch was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.
