J.P. Stevens turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the J.P. Stevens Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past Metuchen with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 54-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as J.P. Stevens also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Metuchen still got an impressive performance from Jason Woods, who scored 15 points.

J.P. Stevens' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14. As for Metuchen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

J.P. Stevens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Metuchen, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Amboy at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Metuchen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
