Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Franklin's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Franklin waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Antelope Titans as they made off with a 74-54 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Franklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Rollins led the charge by going 8 of 18 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Sandy, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Antelope, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Franklin and Antelope should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Franklin (ranked 51st) will meet Cosumnes Oaks (ranked 782nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 75.1 points per game this season. Similarly, Antelope (ranked 131st) will meet McClatchy (ranked 312th) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
