After a string of three wins, Hoffman Estates's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wheeling Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Friday.

Despite the loss, Hoffman Estates had strong showings from Spencer Cruz, who had 19 digs and three assists, and Nathaniel Ham, who had 16 assists. Ham has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last four times he's played.

Hoffman Estates' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wheeling, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Hoffman Estates will look to defend their home court on Monday against Schaumburg at 6:00 p.m. As for Wheeling, they will take on Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
