Nerinx Hall came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Parkway Central Colts by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Markers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nerinx Hall had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-17, 28-26.

Josie LaRose paced Nerinx Hall's offense, picking up 11 kills. LaRose got some help from Alaina Collins and her 18 assists. Collins also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellie Garrett, each putting up two.

Nerinx Hall's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Parkway Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coming up, Nerinx Hall will challenge Lindbergh at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Markers are facing the Flyers at the right time seeing as the Flyers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Parkway Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Marquette on the 26th.
