Baseball Game Preview: Thacher Toads vs. Bishop Diego Cardinals

For the second straight game, Thacher will face off against Bishop Diego. The Toads will host the Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Thacher is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Bishop Diego on Tuesday. The Toads came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 5-1. The win continues a trend for the Toads in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Henry Preloger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Vondriska, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sam Lust, who scored a run and stole a base.
