Football Recap: Destiny Christian Academy Skates Past Menlo-Atherton with Ease + How To Watch

Destiny Christian Academy was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Menlo-Atherton on Friday. The Lions breezed past the Bears to the tune of 41-7. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 21-point advantage.

Destiny Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from K'Aden Minor, who rushed for 140 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Those 140 rushing yards gave Minor a new career-high. Zion Ditmore also helped with two TDs in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Destiny Christian Academy proved: they limited Menlo-Atherton to a paltry three yards per carry. While four picked up at least one total tackle, Ditmore stood above the rest. He rushed for 78 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Destiny Christian Academy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.3.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Destiny Christian Academy, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Antonio Johnson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The win got Destiny Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
