Basketball Recap: Greybull Comes Up Short

Greybull played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies and fell 49-21. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-32 back in January.

Leading Rocky Mountain to victory were Lauren Bassett and Shelby Wambeke. Bassett went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, while Wambeke went 5-for-12 en route to 11 points and six steals. Bassett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Brittly Boettcher was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Greybull dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rocky Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Greybull didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-54 defeat against Hot Springs County on the 15th. As for Rocky Mountain, they have also already played their next match, a 41-23 victory against Shoshoni on the 15th.
