Soccer Game Preview: Drew vs. Midtown

Drew is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Midtown Knights at 7:30 p.m. Drew knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Midtown likes a good challenge.

Drew's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Washington 10-0. Fans of Drew have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Meanwhile, Midtown waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Drew's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Midtown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Drew couldn't quite get it done against Midtown in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can Drew avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
