Basketball Recap: Peekskill Comes Up Short

Peekskill was the 60-58 winner over Roosevelt when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks on Friday.

Roosevelt found their leader in freshman Scarlet Bello, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. Bello's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Peekskill's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Peekskill will welcome Port Chester at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' defense better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 52 points per game this season. As for Roosevelt, they will venture away from home to challenge Barack Obama School for Social Justice at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
