Soccer Game Preview: Salado vs. Manor New Tech

The Salado Eagles will take on the Manor New Tech Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Salado is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Manor New Tech better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Salado's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Salado really gets things going. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand La Grange a 4-0 shutout. Considering Salado have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Manor New Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Smithville on Tuesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Manor New Tech's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Salado, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Salado got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Manor New Tech by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
