Soccer Game Preview: Heritage Christian vs. Maranatha

Heritage Christian hasn't had much luck against Maranatha recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Heritage Christian Warriors will square off against the Maranatha Minutemen at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Heritage Christian managed to keep up with Whittier Christian until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Heritage Christian lost 4-1 to Whittier Christian. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly three goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Crosby Hirtensteiner, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Maranatha didn't have quite enough to beat Village Christian on Thursday and fell 3-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Heritage Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-8-3. As for Maranatha, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11-4.

Heritage Christian beat Maranatha 3-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Christian since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
