Basketball Game Preview: Alexandria City Titans vs. West Potomac Wolverines

Alexandria City is on a four-game streak of home losses, West Potomac a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Alexandria City Titans just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the West Potomac Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Alexandria City ended up a good deal behind Wakefield and lost 71-53.

The losing side was boosted by Tarik Sesay, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Octavius Miller Jr, who posted seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, West Potomac didn't have quite enough to beat South County on Saturday and fell 79-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (66), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

West Potomac's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Alexandria City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Alexandria City didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against West Potomac in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 65-60 victory. Will Alexandria City repeat their success, or does West Potomac have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
