Camarillo had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Oaks Christian Lions. The Scorpions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Camarillo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-13.

Camarillo's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Oaks Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camarillo will venture away from home to take on Calabasas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oaks Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chaminade at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oaks Christian is facing Chaminade at the right time seeing as Chaminade is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
