Volleyball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison lost against Weiss back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mavericks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11.

Madison's offense was headlined by Deylen Mendivil and Eva Hernandez, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kyleigh Shaw and her nine assists. Aubrianna Jefferson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Madison now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Weiss, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Madison will take on Lake Ridge in a tournament on Friday. As for Weiss, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mansfield Legacy at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
