The Elsinore Tigers will take on the Bishop Montgomery Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Elsinore 3, Bishop Montgomery 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Elsinore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Covina get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ivan Huerta, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Willeford, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Bishop Montgomery got the win against West Covina on Thursday by a conclusive 8-0. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
West Covina's batters probably weren't too happy with Pierson Howe, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Howe is becoming a predictor of Bishop Montgomery's success: when he posts at least ten strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 10-11 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Harrison Howe was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Sean Yanko was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Bishop Montgomery is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Elsinore, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Elsinore has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Montgomery struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
