Basketball Recap: Gateway Christian Takes a Loss

Gateway Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-36 loss at the hands of the Epiphany Falcons.

When it comes to explaining why Gateway Christian lost, don't look at Jacob Holestin. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Green, who scored eight points.

Gateway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Epiphany, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Gateway Christian will host Rock Church at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Rock Church knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Gateway Christian likes a good challenge. As for Epiphany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gramercy Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
